Job Responsibilities

As a wheel technician in our workshop, you will work on maintaining and repairing railway wheels. Common tasks include assembling and disassembling wheel bearings and wheel discs, turning, and non-destructive testing.

You will collaborate with other wheel technicians to achieve common goals, but the tasks are performed at stations, which means you will carry out most of the work independently.

About You

Requirements for the position:

• Completed upper secondary education
• At least two years of work experience
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• The work will require good physical condition, and you need to meet the statutory health requirements for the railway industry.

Experience from similar operations in production, industrial activities, or workshop environments may be an advantage.

In your work, you are:

• Detail-oriented and quality-conscious
• A team player with good collaboration skills
• Self-driven and proactive in your work

The Employment

The position is a fixed-term employment starting immediately until 30/8-26, with a chance for continued employment after the period. Working hours are scheduled on weekdays between 06:00-00:00, and you will work in shifts. During the summer months, working hours are mainly scheduled during the day.
